Yes! the fishing lake (carp, rudd and more) and land is really just seconds away from your accommodation. It is not open to the public.

If you wish to go fishing in the surrounding rivers a permit will be required (no permit required at Gone Fishin) from the authorities. Prices for 2011 have just been issued...€10 per day or €30 for 7 consecutive days, permits are issued per person with identity pictures strict rules apply.

Many gîte guests enjoy a picnic and wine sitting at the side of the lake, often the first cup of tea in the morning is enjoyed watching the fish jumping, kingfishers hovering,herons on the look out and much more. |

We would say that half of our guests do not fish but enjoy watching the fish and all the wildlife around the lake and surrounding 20 acres, the choice is yours. |

No permit required to fish at Gone Fishin'.
If you would like a change of scenery then its very simple for us to go and get a day or a weeks fishing permit for you that will allow you to fish in the Lot River with the locals.
